Professional Aupair

SOMEONE WHO:

Is qualified and/or experienced.

They have attended an Aupair course studying all aspects of childcare
Capable of sole charge and using own initiative in absence of parents.

Does not do housework unless it is with regard to the children.

May live in or live out.

Takes meals with the children when on duty.
Has a drivers licence and may have own car.
Organises and carries out the children’s daily routines.
Promotes a happy, loving and stimulating environment.
Ad-hoc duties , e.g. Grocery shopping, taking children to and from school, the doctor, the dentist, library, any extra mural activities, birthday parties , paying bills, menu planning etc.

Arranging and supervising fun outings for the children during school holidays. Assisting with homework and projects.
Babysitting in the evenings and over the weekends.

Professional Childminder

SOMEONE WHO:

  • Has completed basic training as a ‘home care nurse’ or Equivalent.
  • Police verification
  • Capable of sole charge and using own initiative in absence of Parents.
  • May live in or out
  • Basic Child care
  • Take meals with the children when on duty.
  • Provides stimulating educational activities.
  • Will carry out domestic duties pertaining to the infants in her care

e.g. washing, ironing, cleaning, preparing foods etc.

Housekeeper

  • May live in or out
  • Housekeeping certificate
  • Possibly a cooking certificate
  • Work part time or full time
  • All house cleaning activities
  • Does not do garden work or washing of cars
  • Cooking of meals if specified
  • Create shopping lists
  • Work an 8 hour day

Professional Night Nurse

  • May live in or out
  • Housekeeping certificate
  • Possibly a cooking certificate
  • Work part time or full time
  • All house cleaning activities
  • Does not do garden work or washing of cars
  • Cooking of meals if specified
  • Create shopping lists
  • Work an 8 hour day
